Housing Application Process

2025/2026 Academic Year

The beds in the Alice Holloway Young Commons are offered based on the date and time you apply and pay the application fee for housing, therefore it is important to review the process and apply on the recommended dates.

Please note: Our process is completely online and, because of electronic signatures and collecting credit card information, we are unable to do an application for you over the phone. Additionally, all information will come solely through your MCC student email, so check frequently for housing updates!

APPLICATION PROCESS

The application is only available online through your MyMCC student account. Google Chrome is the recommended browser when completing our online application.

  1. Log in to MyMCC using your MCC email address and password
  2. Select the Student Home tile
  3. Select the Housing tile
  4. Select the Housing Self-Service Portal tile
  5. Click on Action List or Apps & Forms, and select your preferred Housing Application type:
    • Fall 2025 & Spring 2026 Housing Application – this is the standard "10-month" housing option for both fall and spring semesters that does not include breaks or January and summer intersessions.
    • 2025-2026 (12-Month) – this housing option includes all breaks and the January and summer intersessions, and is highly recommended for students who may be housing insecure, live out-of-state, or are international. Review the difference in costs here.

  6. Complete the questions, and submit the $200.00 application fee/security deposit. The application fee is required and becomes your security deposit after move in. This fee cannot be waived, however students may be eligible for financial assistance through MCC Assist. You can pay online with a credit/debit card through the application (preferred). Cash/Check payments may be accepted at the Campus Center Service Desk.
  7. All placements are made based on the completed application and payment date. Students will receive a notification via their student email account regarding their housing status.

STUDENTS UNDER 18

Students who are under the age of 18 may not agree to the terms and conditions of housing on their own without a parent/guardian signature. Students who are under 18 will be directed via their confirmation page and via a confirmation email to have a parent/guardian fill out a form and send it in separately from the online housing application.

Underage students have 7 business days to mail/fax/email the form to the Housing and Residence Life Office. An underage application will not be completed and date/time stamped until this form is received. If it is received within those 7 days, the application will be date/time stamped for the time the application was submitted. Excessively late forms (more than 10 business days) will push the date/time stamp to the time the form is received.

HOUSING APPLICATION AGREEMENT FOR 2025/2026

The housing agreement will be binding for the entire academic year. Therefore, students will be financially responsible for both semesters unless the Housing and Residence Life Department is able to re-establish occupancy following a student's request for release.

Students requesting to terminate the contractual obligation for the Spring 2026 semester must notify the Housing and Residence Life Office by December 2025. Students vacating due to graduation, internship, military enlistment, or transfer to another institution must provide supporting documentation by January 15, 2026.

Students requesting to vacate for any other purpose or who do not provide supporting documentation will also forfeit their $200 security deposit.
